MMM - Sandiway International Airport
Lesson: Maths
Class: Year 6 Year: 2014 - 2015
This week in Maths, the Year 6 children visited Sandiway International Airport. The children had their own passport as well as boarding pass and had to go through security before entering the classroom.
The children visited three terminals (Turkey, United States of America and Italy) where they used exchange rates to challenge themselves to multiply decimals. There was also an information section where the children answered problems about arriving to and from the airport. Lastly, the luggage section allowed children to solve questions and use scales to measure the weight of various bags.
An exciting morning but unfortunately we couldn't go on holiday as we had P.E and Music in the afternoon.
